C# Windows Application Developer

Skills:
Experience developing commercial applications utilizing Microsoft technologies: .NET, C#, and SQL Server.

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented .NET developer to join our development team, located in downtown San Francisco. ImmigrationTracker is beginning development on a new product to add to our current line, and we want a talented and motivated software engineer/developer who enjoys working in a team with other talented and eager individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with direction given by Software Development Manager, assist in designing and developing a Windows .NET commercial WinForms application.
  • Analyze functional requirements and present/prototype technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and test specific feature sets.
  • Accurately estimate and prioritize tasks.
  • Conduct work in source-controlled environment. Annotate and update entries in issue-tracking system.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience coding solutions on Microsoft platforms. Experience with n-tier commercial applications an advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of object-oriented design and development methodology and techniques.
  • Full command of C# 2.0, WinForms, and SQL Server. Knowledge of development best practices for security, scalability and maintainability an advantage. Experience in .NET 3.0, WCF, and Entity Frameworks an advantage.
  • Familiarity with source control and issue/bug tracking products.
  • Self learner: Constantly investigating and learning new tools, utilizing them, and sharing with other team members.
  • Experience with code generation, object-relational mapping, and data access layer tools an advantage. Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and Agile (any flavor) practices an advantage. Experience using Microsoft Enterprise Library an advantage.
  • Strong documentation, written, and oral communication.
  • Must be comfortable working in teams as well as handling specific tasks on your own. Prefer candidates who have worked in companies focused on commercial software products.
  • Hold a college degree (Computer Science major preferred, not required).

Training and Implementation Specialist

As a Training and Implementation Specialist you will provide customized project planning, implementation and training to new Tracker clients, while always ensuring clear communications and a consistently high level of customer service.

Successful candidates will have experience working in/with law firms, be strong project managers, have strong customer service, training and presentation skills, technical aptitude with PCs and industry related software, and a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Effective written and oral communication skills, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member are essential. A willingness and ability to travel.
